Hi, I’m Joe (승현).
I’m an Industrial Engineering student at the University of Toronto and an ML Intern at Huawei Canada, where I’ve been working on computer vision.
Lately, I’ve been exploring a shift toward finance, spending time studying for the CFA and trying to apply machine learning to real-world financial systems.
I try to live by Charlie Munger’s words of wisdom:
“Spend each day trying to be a little wiser than you were when you woke up. Day by day, and at the end of the day—if you live long enough—like most people, you will get out of life what you deserve.”
I’ve also figured that wisdom is not given by a job title; it comes from the hours spent breaking, fixing, and trying to really understand how things work.
I’m still early in the process, but I enjoy building, learning, and improving a little each day.
Outside of work, you’ll probably find me playing the electric guitar, making coffee, or taking photos.
